Personal Statement

I think I always knew that I would be a healer or a helper. I have always been interested in people's stories and the reason behind their choices and actions. I always had a lot of questions about why we are here and and what the purpose of life is, when I was a young teenager I started to seek out answers to these questions in books because no one in my life was able to answer these questions to my satisfaction. I started to find books about religion, philosophy, spirituality, reincarnation, astrology, numerology, tarot, and many more topics. As I got older the subjects I read and studied grew, became more defined, and I was able to delve deeper into the subject matter.

I attended Kent State University and received a Bachelor degree in Psychology then went on to Walden University and earned a Master degree in Mental Health Counseling. Since then, I have become a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Oregon and maintain a private counseling practice in Roseburg. While I was completing this traditional education I also worked towards a Doctor of Metaphysical Science degree from the University of Metaphysical Sciences. I also studied Meditation, Reiki, and Chakra cleansing. More recently I have become a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist and a Certified Practitioner in Neuro-linguistic Programming. Currently, I am working on Quantum Healing Hypnosis Therapy (QHHT).

In addition, to the areas I have training and certifications in I also have an interest in essential oils, nutrition, meditation, and yoga to name a few. My areas of interest and research are varied and extensive. I am always interested in learning new things, keep an open mind, and work from a place of non-judgment and acceptance

I believe that there is a reason for everything in our lives even if we don't know what it is. The mind, body, and spirit are connected so issues we have on one level will effect other levels as well. They work together but also share pain and suffering when that is present. I take a holistic, person-centered approach to working with individuals meeting each person where they are at and supporting them to heal and understand their past, deal with their present, and work towards whatever their future goals are.
